An Invitation

You are invited to participate in one of the greatest youth experiences in Seventh-day Adventist Church history--The West Coast Youth Congress 2008! WCYC 2008 is the second Youth Congress for the 21^st Century sponsored by the Regional Ministries of both the North Pacific and Pacific Unions of Seventh-day Adventists.  This unique event gives an opportunity for the Adventist Church’s youth to connect with other youth, grow spiritually, share spiritual gifts and talents, become equipped for ministry, discuss current issues, serve others, hear inspirational messages, and go make a difference in their local churches and communities! 

In 2003, the Youth Congress held in Anaheim, California focused on youth being empowered, equipped and trained for a vital ministry in the last days.  Over 500 delegates representing churches in Arizona, California, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Washington attended along with adult chaperones and guests. Over 3,000 were in attendance during the weekend. 

We hope that WCYC 2008 will be even bigger! Our theme for the congress is Decide. This theme is appropriate because during the congress, youth and young adults will have the opportunity to make critical decisions that will effect lasting changes in youth ministry throughout the local churches in our territory for the next five years. The possibilities are limitless! 

Our planning team is very excited about what God is going to do through this unique event and we want you to be a part of it! You are invited to participate as a delegate from your church or conference, serve as a group leader, chaperone or volunteer, or just remember to keep WCYC 2008 in your prayers! Whichever way you choose to serve, know that you are welcomed!
